Mac OS 10.7.5 won't run Teamviewer 11 at all. It allows the install but crashes on start up. Tearing my hair out with this. Trying to control a clients machine and he was originally on version 9. My iMac was originally with version 14 on High Sierra but I've loaded version 12.

Team Viewer Version 10 For Mac

Stopping the active support of an operating system means that no updates or fixes which are specific to these operating systems will be implemented and TeamViewer versions newer than TeamViewer in version 15.2 wont be compatible with these operating systems.

Rossmanith GmbH released the first version of TeamViewer software in 2005, at that time still based on the VNC project.[15] The IT service provider wanted to avoid unnecessary trips to customers and perform tasks such as installing software remotely.[16] The development was very successful and gave rise to TeamViewer GmbH, which today operates as TeamViewer Germany GmbH and is part of TeamViewer AG.[17]

The functionality of TeamViewer differs depending on the device and variant or version of the software. The core of TeamViewer is remote access to computers and other endpoints as well as their control and maintenance.[26] After the connection is established, the remote screen is visible to the user at the other endpoint. Both endpoints can send and receive files as well as access a shared clipboard, for example.[27] Besides, some functions facilitate team collaboration, such as audio and video transmissions via IP telephony.[28]

Incoming and outgoing connections are equally possible via the Internet or local networks. If desired, TeamViewer can run as a Windows system service, which allows unattended access via TeamViewer. There is also a portable version of the software that runs completely without installation, for example via a USB data carrier.[41]

I have a mac os x 10.9.5 with Teamviewer version 12.0.2, it seems it's the last update available for this mac. On the Windows 10 PC I had the last Teamviewer version. I couldn't connect to the pc from the mac, and a thread here said I need to have the same version or older on the pc to be able to connect from the mac. So I downloaded version 12.0.2 to the PC. Still can't connect because now it says I'm using an old version on the pc. Can someone please advice?

I need to run version 10 so that my internet provider can access my machine. After downloading the v10 it will not open and gives an error message stating that v10 needs an update. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Please also refer to our Product Lifecycle Policy - In section 3.3 (Maintenance phases), Active Maintenance of versions starts with the release of the version and ends with the release of the next version. This includes OS compatibility.

TeamViewer Product Lifecycle Policy - Active MaintenanceOnce the new version of TeamViewer is released, we cannot guarantee Operating System compatibility, as some major Operating System updates alter or remove components that older versions may have used.

Version 10 is not a supported version for MacOS Catalina, as mentioned in our Supported Operating Systems article, as well as any version of MacOS after 10.11; this means there would be no updates to allow compatibility with the latest Operating Systems, nor could we guarantee full compatibility.

In some cases, we may need to remotely access your system to troubleshoot the issue(s). We use a software called TeamViewer. As of 2018-02-01, the current TeamViewer (version 13) only supports OSX 10.10.5 or later. So, if you're still running an older version of Mac Operating System(OS), you need to run an older version of TeamViewer. Here are the steps to setup TeamViewer QuickSupport on an older Mac. We use Mac OSX 10.7.4 as an example.

[2.] You need to download an older version (v9.x) of TeamViewer QuickSupport. Here's the download link for your reference. The Safari browser that comes with OS may not able to redirect you to the download page. You may need to switch to a different browser, like Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox.

TeamViewer is not installed on my Mac, and has not been for a long time. So the above is obviously looking to run something in a path that no longer exists. However, seeing launchctl involved, I ran launchctl list grep team and lo and behold I found a couple of entries related to TeamViewer. So then I tried the following commands:

There are no more files I can find that are related to TeamViewer. Now sudo launchctl list grep team and launchctl list grep team both show no output, which suggests everything should be stopped and removed. But I still see the above messages every 10 seconds in system.log, even after running all those commands!

If you use the TeamViewer that runs version 3.5 or later, you can easily record your TeamViewer calls in this application, as a session recording feature is available here. Follow the below steps to start your recording:

** You will be asked to select how you want to use TeamViewer. If you are using the software for commercial purposes, you do require a license. However, TeamViewer does provide a 14-day trial. For the purposes of this article, we will use the free version.

The configuration issue with TeamViewer is not limited to Windows users. For Mac users you need to ensure that there are no previous versions installed that may be causing a conflict. You must uninstall TeamViewer from your Application Folder. Also delete TeamViewer from the Accessibility, Full Disk Access and Screen Recording list. Do this from your System Preferences > Security & Privacy options.
